Mustard Seed Community Childcare at Our Savior (MSCCOS) was established in April 2021 to fill the void left by the closure of Haddonfield Child Care at the end of 2020 during the peak of the COVID shutdown.

MSCCOS is an extended-day childcare for kindergarten students who attend half-day kindergarten classes in the Haddonfield School District. With construction on the Elementary schools nearing completion in 2027, full-day kindergarten will be available to all students in 2028. The need for extended-day kindergarten programming will no longer be necessary.

With Haddonfield Schools providing full-day kindergarten classes for one class per school this year, the enrollment for Mustard Seed has decreased beyond financial viability, and the MSCCOS Board agrees that 2026–2027 will be the “GRAND FINALE.”

The Executive Director and the Board of Trustees are grateful to the LCOS Church Council, Memorial Gifts Board, and a core group of volunteers for helping to create a childcare program of such a high caliber, gaining the respect of the Haddonfield Community. In addition, we are grateful for the staff and volunteers who have contributed in numerous ways to the growth and continued success of MSCCOS.

The Mission Statement of Mustard Seed is “Providing a safe, creative, and nurturing community for children to explore and expand in heart and mind, body and soul.” Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported Mustard Seed in achieving its mission. Mustard Seed would not have blossomed into the “tree” without your love and kindness.
